We ordered this dress 10 months before my daughter’s wedding to allow time to return it and look elsewhere if needed. We were very anxious waiting for it and when it arrived, barely 3 weeks from ordering it, we were almost afraid to open the box. We unwrapped the vacuum sealed package and unfolded the dress carefully. And WOW! It is exactly as pictured! My sister is a professional seamstress and does alterations, so we ordered a standard size by the closest measurements. It actually fits my daughter almost perfectly and will only need shortened and a little adjustment to the arms. On the skirt, dress has a lining, layered gathered crinoline, and a sewn backing to the satin skirt. The bodice has lightweight boning in the satin and a high quality lace overlay tacked to a sheer layer to prevent the lace from stretching out of shape. French seams throughout add strength and quality to the construction. As with most wedding dresses, order according to measurements and not your clothing size. My daughter usually wears size 4 clothing, but the size 6 dress fits almost perfectly. We will NOT be returning this! Also, the Dressaford team kept us informed during the ordering, sewing and shipping process. I hope we can find bridesmaid and mother-of-bride dresses on their site as well.
